Bithell Studios takes its commitment to the environment seriously, and all carbon emissions are offset where possible. The providers we primarily use are outlined below, alongside their environmental impact.

Servers​

DigitalOcean is committed to minimizing its carbon footprint and maintaining sustainable practices. DigitalOcean actively invests in utilizing efficient server hardware and optimizing the overall energy efficiency of its data centers, which have a power usage effectiveness (PUE) averaging at 1.15. By leveraging renewable energy, DigitalOcean aims to make an even greater positive environmental impact.

File Storage​

AdamRMS uses AWS, which purchases Renewable Energy Credits [RES] and Guarantees of Origin to cover any non-renewable energy they use in the Europe (Ireland) region we use primarily for file storage and the Europe (Frankfurt) region we use for backups.

Reverse Proxy & DNS​

Cloudflare is committed to reducing its environmental impact and purchases RECs to match all electricity use globally.

Google publishes their sustainability plans at cloud.google.com/sustainability

Agolia​

We use Agolia to power the search on this site, and they are also committed to reducing their environmental impact

We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics service other than that provided as part of Cloudflare.
